Set up telephone (FRITZ!Box router)

If you cannot make any outgoing calls or you cannot be reached, please check that the telephony settings on the FRITZ!Box are set up correctly. 1.

Make sure that you are connected to the FRITZ!Box. The best way is via LAN cable (yellow). A connection via W-LAN (with a mobile device) is also possible.

We talked about the following point: An Internet browser should be called up (Firefox, Safari, Chrome or similar) and the address should be entered.

If this is not possible, please try the following IP addresses: or

  1. Click on "Telephony" in the user interface of the FRITZ!Box.
  2. In the "Telephony" menu, click on "Own telephone numbers".
  3. Click on the "New call number" button.
  4. If a drop-down list for selecting an Internet telephony provider is available, select "Teleboy". If this is not available, select "Other provider".

Note: Whether the drop-down list is available and which providers are displayed there depends on the country setting of the FRITZ!Box.

Enter the Internet number (telephone number) and the login data (e.g. user name, password, registrar) in the corresponding input fields.

Click on "Next" and follow the instructions of the wizard.


Could you please check this option (see the picture below "PVC")?

This "PVC" tick must not be activated.

After another restart of the FRITZ!Box, it should now work.
