What to do if you encounter problems or the red info LED is lit?

If you encounter difficulties during installation or the red info light on the FRITZ!Box is lit continuously, please check the following steps:

  • Open a web browser (e.g. Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
  • Enter the following in the address bar: http://fritz.box(without www)

3. Log in to the FRITZ!Box

  • The login data for the user interface can be found on the bottom of the FRITZ!Box.
  • Please note: This data differs from the Wi-Fi password (network key/WPA2).

4. Set up access data

  • In the menu, go to ‘Internet’ → ‘Access Data’
  • Select as provider: ‘Other Internet Provider’
  • Under ‘Access Data’ Are access data required? Select ‘No’

5. Additional settings

  • Connection type: DHCP
  • VLAN ID: 10 (only if it does not work right away)
  • Annex: Annex A (only necessary for DSL)

6. Save and test

  • Click on ‘Apply’
  • Wait a moment while the FRITZ!Box tests the Internet access.
  • The connection is successful if the info LED lights up green continuously.
