Fibre optic: Activation page is displayed – what should I do?
There are two different technologies for fiber optic connections: BX and XGS.
What you need to do depends on which technology is used in your case.
BX technology → No action required
- The line is automatically activated
- You do not need to enter an activation code. The activation is done at the latest at 5:00 p.m.
This is how you proceed:
- Connect the router to the OTO socket (fiber optic socket), usually on Plug 2
- Switch on the router
- In most cases, the connection is active after a few minutes
XGS technology → Manual activation required
You have to activate the line yourself within 40 days
This is how you activate your line:
- Connect the router to the OTO socket (Plug 2)
- Connect to the router via WLAN or LAN
- Please switch off the mobile data on your smartphone for the WLAN version

- You received the PON activation code xxxxxxxxxxxxx by email a few days after placing your order.
