Can I add extra recording storage?
Need more space for your recordings? With extra recording storage, you can easily expand your recording storage in your customer account.
Quick answer: Yes. With the Teleboy TV plan, you can add extra recording storage: 1000 hours for CHF 5.– per month or 2400 hours for CHF 10.– per month.
ℹ Only available with Teleboy TV
You can only order extra recording storage with the Teleboy TV plan. It is not available with Teleboy TV+, MAX, Comfort, Plus or Teleboy Free.
How to proceed
1Open your customer account
Log in and open my.teleboy.ch/service/tv.
2Open the "Add-ons" tab
Switch to the "Add-ons" tab. There you will find the two extra recording storage packages.
3Choose a package and order
Choose "Additional recording storage: 1000 hours" or "Additional recording storage: 2400 hours" and click "Order".
Good to know
- Storage is added on top: Teleboy TV includes 2400 hours of recording storage. The extra storage is added to it. With 1000 hours you have 3400 hours in total, with 2400 hours you have 4800 hours in total.
- Packages can be combined: You can order several packages, the storage adds up.
- Shared by all profiles: All profiles in your account share the recording storage. The extra storage expands this shared storage.
- Billing: Extra recording storage is a monthly subscription and, like every add-on, is billed at the end of the month. If you order it during the month, that month is charged pro rata.
Cancelling extra storage
⚠ Recordings may be deleted when you cancel
You cancel the extra storage in your customer account under TV. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month. If your recordings then need more space than your remaining storage, the oldest recordings are deleted with the cancellation.
Tip: Before cancelling, check in your recordings how many hours are used and delete any recordings you no longer need yourself. That way your oldest recordings are not removed automatically.
