Fix audio and video issues in the Teleboy TV app

If the Teleboy TV app has audio and video dropouts, it's often due to automatic WLAN channel switches on 5GHz. Your solution: set the radio channel manually.

The solution: Set the 5GHz channel manually to a channel between 36 and 40 in your router settings, instead of Auto.

ℹ Hint

What is DFS?
Your router automatically switches channels to avoid radar interference. On 5GHz, this sometimes causes brief streaming interruptions. Using manual channel 36 prevents these switches.

Here's how to do it

1Open router settings

Open your browser and go to https://fritz.box or http://192.168.178.1. Log in with your router credentials.

2Open WLAN settings

Navigate to the WLAN or network settings and look for the 5GHz band or 5GHz frequency option.

3Set channel to 36

Select a channel between 36 and 40 manually instead of "Automatic" or "Auto". Save the setting.

4Restart router

Power down the router and restart it for the setting to take effect. Wait about 2 minutes for the connection to be restored.

5Test Teleboy app

Open the Teleboy TV app and start a broadcast. Check if audio and video are now stable – test for at least 5 minutes.
