Despite registering for eBill, my invoice is not paid automatically!

CONTENTS

eBill only applies to future invoices

If you have registered for eBill but your invoice was not automatically paid, this is most likely because eBill payments cannot be applied retroactively to invoices that have already been sent. Automatic payment will only take effect from the next invoice onwards.

ℹ Note

Please settle open invoices manually using the payment information on the invoice. More info: View invoices online

Check open invoices

If you are unsure whether you still have open invoices, you can check and pay them at any time online: Check & pay invoices

Other possible causes

If your eBill payment is still not being executed, go through the following points one by one. You can find the full guide to registering for eBill here: Can I pay my invoice by eBill?

1Is eBill correctly activated in your e-banking?

Open the "eBill" section in your e-banking and check that your eBill access is active and the registration has been fully completed. If not, complete the registration. If you have questions about the eBill section of your e-banking, your bank can help.

2Is Teleboy saved as an eBill biller?

Check your list of eBill billers to see whether "Teleboy" is listed. If Teleboy is missing, select us again as a biller. Without this connection, our invoices won't reach your e-banking.

3The eBill invoice needs to be approved

Depending on your bank, eBill invoices are either paid automatically or must first be approved by you in your e-banking. Check in the "eBill" section whether the Teleboy invoice is still waiting for your approval and approve it. To have future invoices paid automatically, activate automatic approval or payment in your e-banking settings. If you can't find this setting, your bank can help.

4Are your bank details up to date and is your account funded?

The payment can only be executed if your bank details are up to date and your account has sufficient funds at the time of payment. Check both in your e-banking.

5Are you paying for another person?

If you pay another person's Teleboy invoice through your own e-banking, you must enter that person's Teleboy customer number or registered e-mail address when registering for eBill. Enter it in the field for a note or additional information. Since every e-banking is set up differently, this field has a different name depending on your bank, for example "Note", "Additional information" or "Additional note". If you can't find such a field, ask your bank directly how to add this information.

⚠ No note, no automatic match

If the customer number or registered e-mail address is missing from the note, we can't match the payment automatically. The invoice then remains open until we have checked the payment manually. This check can take up to 5 working days after payment.

6Do you have a TV-only subscription?

eBill is not available for a TV-only subscription. It can only be paid via TWINT or credit card. If your TV subscription is part of a combined Internet subscription, you can pay the combined invoice by eBill.

7Did you only register recently?

eBill only applies from the next invoice after your registration. Invoices sent before that must be paid manually, most easily directly in the customer login under Check & pay invoices or by QR code.

⚠ No standing order, no LSV

Payments by standing order or direct debit (LSV) are not possible. Use eBill or store a payment method in the customer login.

Rather skip eBill? Here's the easier way

If eBill doesn't work reliably for you, it's usually easier to store a credit card or TWINT in the customer login. The invoice amount is then debited automatically every month, without you having to do anything.

1Log in to the customer login

Log in with the credentials of the Teleboy account whose invoices are to be paid and open the payment methods: my.teleboy.ch/finance/payment

2Store a credit card or TWINT

Choose credit card or TWINT as your payment method and follow the instructions. Your invoices will then be debited automatically every month.

ℹ Paying for another person

If you pay another person's invoices, you can store your credit card or TWINT directly in the customer login of their account. That way, no note in your e-banking is needed.
