One reason is that many current remote controls lack a number pad, while Teletext relies on three-digit number inputs. This would make the user experience cumbersome and not user-friendly.

Additionally, there is low demand for Teletext, and the technical challenges and costs of integration are significant. While there are modern alternatives like HbbTV (Hybrid broadcast broadband TV) that offer some of the functions of Teletext in a more up-to-date format, technical barriers prevent integration. For example, HbbTV is currently not supported on all platforms, such as Apple TV.
