What are value-added services / premium services?

Premium services are value-added services or paid numbers/short numbers. 

These can be calls, SMS or MMS through which you receive specific information or entertainment services. 

For example, the weather forecast, traffic information, a talking clock, games or adult entertainment.

The prices of premium services are set by the service provider.
