Can I take my number with me to Teleboy Mobile?

Yes, you can transfer your mobile number to Teleboy Mobile. 

Here you can order the Teleboy Mobile cell phone subscription and request the porting of your number.

Important information about porting

Porting can be requested a maximum of 12 months before the switch.
Porting must be specified when ordering.
Porting is not possible afterwards and the entire order must be cancelled and re-entered.
If you want to port a number, you should not cancel the subscription in advance, otherwise the number can no longer be ported

You will receive your Teleboy Mobile SIM card by mail before your Teleboy Mobile subscription is activated. 

The activation costs CHF 49.

For porting we have to distinguish if your existing number is bound to a subscription of your previous provider or if it is a prepaid number.

For subscription numbers

If you have a subscription with a certain contract period with your previous provider, there are two possible scenarios:

  • Your subscription with your existing provider has expired. In this case we can apply your number transfer immediately. How quickly this happens depends on your old provider.
  • Your subscription with your existing provider is still running and you want to port your number. Here you have two options:

  1. You wait until your minimum contract duration has expired and your phone number is ported regularly after your contract expires.

  2. You would like to port your number immediately to start your new subscription with Teleboy. In this case, we will arrange with your previous provider for an early termination and thus for the porting of your number. Please note that this may incur costs on the part of your previous provider.

For prepaid numbers

In case you have a prepaid number with your previous provider, your number can be ported directly to us and you can start using your new Teleboy subscription immediately after the transfer.

Make sure you have the SIM card from your previous provider in a smartphone to confirm the porting with an SMS with "YES" to 499.

Please note: Any existing credit will be forfeited during the change.
