Image flickering during video streams

If the image flickers or stutters during streaming, there may be several causes. These steps will help you resolve the issue – regardless of your device.

1Check internet connection

For SD quality you need at least 50 Mbit/s, for HD at least 100 Mbit/s. Check your current speed online.

2Close other programmes

Close unnecessary applications to free up processing power and bandwidth.

3Connect via LAN cable (recommended)

A wired LAN connection is more stable than Wi-Fi and reduces dropouts.

4Apple TV 4: adjust resolution

Manually set the resolution to 720p50 or 1080p50.

5Android TV & Samsung TV: set quality to Automatic

Go to settings and select “Automatic” under “Video Quality”. The stream will then adapt automatically to network fluctuations.
